Renasant Bank Donates Car to Operation Stand Down
NASHVILLE, TENN, August 25, 2017 –– Renasant Bank is donating a Nissan Juke to Operation Stand Down Tennessee, a Nashville nonprofit organization focused on providing veterans with support services and resources.
The 2012 Juke was previously used to collect noncash deposits and documents from Metropolitan Bank customers. Since the merger of Metropolitan Bank with Renasant Bank, the vehicles will no longer be needed for the pick-up program.
“It is Renasant Bank’s distinct pleasure to donate this Nissan Juke to our friends at Operation Stand Down Tennessee,” said Clayton W. Hart, president of Renasant Bank’s Nashville Business Banking and Retail division. “By providing veteran services, including transitional housing, Operation Stand Down is truly giving our veterans a renewed outlook on life. Renasant Bank would like to thank all of our American veterans for their service and we again thank Operation Stand Down for what they do for our community, our state and our country.”
The vehicle, which was donated during the organization’s Heroes Breakfast Friday, Aug. 18, will help Operation Stand Down transport military veterans to job interviews and medical appointments.
“We are so appreciative of this very generous gift from Renasant,” said Colonel John Krenson, executive director of Operation Stand Down Tennessee. “Renasant has been a consistent and strong supporter of our mission for many years. This Nissan Juke will allow us to engage Veterans and extend our service delivery even more. Once again, Renasant demonstrates their commitment to the community and corporate stewardship.”
Operation Stand Down Tennessee, a Renasant Bank customer and community partner, provides numerous support services to veterans at no cost including transitional housing, Veterans Affairs benefits counseling, employment services, and homelessness prevention to veterans and their families in Tennessee.
The vehicle is the first of two to be donated to non-profits in the Nashville market.
The donation is being made by Renasant Roots, Renasant Bank’s community empowerment program.
