From Renters to Owners: How one Business Made the Leap

February 20, 2018

As Gwinnett County’s premier event facility, 550 Trackside has a beautiful, rustic flair and top-of-the-line services that help clients celebrate their special occasions without a hitch. Voted “Best in Gwinnett” eight years in a row and awarded the Gwinnett Historical Society Preservation Award in December 2012, the facility has become a local institution.

After 11 years of leasing the facility, 550 Trackside owners and operators Roger and Cindy Kahn decided to make the leap and purchase the property they have managed. That’s where Renasant came in.

Renasant Bank’s SBA Lending Specialist Melanie Brown guided the Kahns through the process of buying the real estate, eventually securing a small business loan with favorable financing. Now they can continue their work in Lawrenceville, Georgia, as owners.

It’s the beginning of a new era for the business, as they continue to grow and serve Gwinnett County. Thanks to Melanie Brown and Renasant’s Small Business Administration loan programs, 550 Trackside continues to host beautiful weddings, reunions, proms, and other special events—now with the Kahns as proud real estate owners.
