Tera Wages first saw her dream home online. The listing included seven photos, three of which were duplicates. She didn’t need to see much to know this was the place where she wanted to raise her family.
Tera and her husband, Wes, made an offer during their first tour of the home. Due to an overwhelming number of offers, the owners pulled their house off the market in two days.
Tera refused to go down without a fight, and against Wes’s advice, she wrote the owners explaining how this could be the Wages’ ”forever home.” Soon after, their realtor contacted them with good news: the house was theirs.
The Wages are now staring down the barrel of an ambitious move-in goal of just three months. Their new house epitomizes the title of “fixer upper”—with the intention of renovating the property themselves, there are still many great adventures ahead.
