How Can Your Expertise Help a Business?

I feel like I help businesses by giving them a sounding board for projects they’re possibly investing in. A lot of times business owners know what they need, but they don’t know the products and services we offer. So, we’ll discuss and have conversations, and then that leads to, “Well, you might need remote deposit. That makes things much easier for you because you can’t get to the bank until after 5:00. So that gives you the option of depositing.” So, it gives them different areas of knowledge about products and services that they may need in addition to loans that they might have questions about.

What Makes Your Local Community Special?

Tuscaloosa is a small, big town, and by that, I mean we’ve got the University of Alabama. So when school is in, we’ve got almost 40,000 students in the midst of our normal population. So during football season, it is chaos around town. But our core business community is still small. Most of us know each other, or we know each other through five degrees of separation. It’s just a small town feel when you get into the community and the business owners.

Tell Us a Fun Fact about Yourself!

Most people that know me know I’m an animal advocate. I’ve been on several animal rescue organizations. I’m all about pets. I guess something that I don’t think about that people may not know is, I think I was one or two, my dad used to work in the mobile home industry, and he went to Texas for a conference, he and my mom, and took me. And I met Festus from Gunsmoke. So, I’m dating myself. So actually, Festus actually held me when I was two, so that’s my claim to fame.
