People of Birmingham are so giving, and that’s the proof is there in every… In the nonprofit organizations we have here that we give so much money to in lead and across the country, and one of the biggest givers per capita in the US. Being located two hours from Atlanta and three hours from Nashville, you can get to the big city, or you can get to the beach in four hours or the mountains and four hours, and it’s a great location centrally in the Southeast and that’s what makes Birmingham special.

I’m a landscaper. I love to keep a beautiful yard, and I do that on weekends, and I love the satisfaction of seeing my work right behind me, a clean yard or mowed yard or a trimmed bush. I’ve had a client that I’ve worked with that just had a shoddy look in front of his business, and I woke up on a Saturday morning and drove down to his business at six o’clock in the morning and weeded and blew grass and put out pine straw and pulled up weeds and ended up getting the client, as a matter of fact.
