What I love about Birmingham and what makes it special is the diversity, the culture, but I could not be more proud of my city and my community on how we are currently living out our diversity and our commonalities. Something interesting about me that you may not know is that I was a stagehand and an MC for the Carver Theater in downtown Birmingham during a jazz concert series for a couple of years. I've introduced the likes of Najee, Boney James, Eric Essix, and others. So people don't normally see me as someone who would haul music equipment and set up a stage, but that's what I did in my early twenties.
